Japanese rock band, DIR EN GREY releases their first official app!
The app features live photos from the 2 DAYS show at NIPPON BUDOKAN in January 2010. On top of that, the app offers live photos from their domestic and overseas tour including shots from their appearance at music festivals. Carefully selected photos from the official photo book for sale only by mail order in Japan and unreleased photos are presented in realistic, sensational and uplifting feelings of DIR EN GREY’s live.
When you tap on a photo, you will be able to view the set list of each show. You also have the option to view photos as a slideshow and have access to checking out some band interview. The app also comes with DIR EN GREY icons and skin to customize your iPhone with. With so many features including the ability to watch video previews, the app is user-friendly and simple to use.

Japanese rock band DIR EN GREY formed in 1997. The band continues to solidify their fanbase throughout the world with their enigmatic and uncategorized music and style as it is unnecessary to even try to classify them in any way. DIR EN GREY has been active mainly in Japan but explored the world through their releases and constantly touring. They have remained active overseas and have played at Germany’s biggest metal festival, “Wacken Open Air”, UK rock festival, “Download”, and even on the KoЯn US circuit tour, “FAMILY VALUES TOUR.” DIR EN GREY have gained recognition and praise from around the world.

◇7th ALBUM ”UROBOROS”
“UROBOROS”, DIR EN GREY’s 7th ALBUM was released on November 12th 2008. It was released in 17 countries around the world and ranked in at 114th place on the Billboard Chart 200. The album, completed after their 1-year production period, is referred to as the craziest album in the band’s history and includes English versions of two singles “DOZING GREEN” and “GLASS SKIN”. The unique, one of its kind sound is a mix of beauty and chaos which continued to evolve from the Osaka-Jo Hall show in December 2008 to the NIPPON BUDOKAN shows in January 2010. It never stops. The NIPPON BUDOKAN shows were the pinnacle of what DIR EN GREY had been aiming for at this time. Not only was it available on DVD, a special film which included live footage of the show and off-stage shots from NIPPON BUDOKAN has hit the theatres. This app captures every moment of the evolution of “UROBOROS”.
